Leon I.S.D. School Board members met for four-and-a-half hours Thursday night.

They eventually decided Principal David Jones will keep his job, for now.

Jones has been on paid administrative leave since February, when a student alleged Jones grabbed and bruised him.

Last week, the Leon County Attorney charged Jones with assault.

Board members met with the district's attorney in executive session for over two hours Thursday night.

Superintendent Jay Winn says the board will most likely wait until this summer, for Jones' trial, to take up the issue again.
