Double Homicide Victims Buried in Caldwell

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for the two victims in last week's double homicide in Burleson County.

David and DJ Weichert were buried in the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery following two days worth of visitation and services.

Authorities say the father and son were killed Wednesday by Katy native Myron Phillips, who remains in custody charged with the murders.

Court documents say the shootings took place over allegations that Phillips had sexually assaulted his step-daughter.

You can donate to the Weichert's memorial fund, which is set up at Citizens State Bank.
