A Tribute to "Red" Cashion

In a community where volunteers are plentiful, a former NFL referee stands out from all the rest.

Red Cashion was honored Thursday at the Brazos Community Foundation Tribute Luncheon.

Born in College Station, Cashion has served on numerous boards and committees throughout the community.

Proceeds from the event will be placed in an endowment fund created in his name. Those funds will benefit health and housing programs in the community.

This is the fourth annual Brazos Community Foundation Tribute Luncheon.
