The defense rested its case Wednesday in a wrongful death lawsuit over a deadly Highway 6 accident.
The defense argued that a single truck driver was to blame for the September 15, 2006 accident that killed four people in South Brazos County.
Attorneys for the plaintiffs say the blame lies with three construction companies -- T.J. Lambrecht, W.W. Webber, and Young Construction -- for creating unsafe traffic conditions.
One of the pickup truck drivers died, along with the three Prairie View A&M freshmen.
The immediate family members of the four victims took the stand last week.
The jury will begin deliberating Thursday.
