She was hired to clean house. Instead, police say she stole nearly $4,000 worth of jewelry from a Bryan woman.

Eva Perez from San Antonio was booked in the Brazos County jail, Friday. She's accused of taking a pair of diamond earrings, and two 14 karat bracelets from the home she was cleaning two years ago.

Perez was subcontracted by "His and Hers Cleaning Service." The company told police that Perez was a temp from "Labor Ready."

Detectives discovered Perez was a wanted fugitive in Bexar County. Perez was arrested there last month for theft, then transferred to Brazos County.

Her bond was set at $5,000.
