Monday the Carriage Inn Retirement Community woke up to the sight of 55 flags flapping in the breeze.
The flags were placed by Bryan Boy Scout Troop 976 early in the morning and were taken down shortly before sunset.
Many of the flags were purchased by residents of Carriage Inn to remember veterans and loved ones and to honor men and women currently serving.
The residents hoped the flags would serve as a reminder of the freedoms we enjoy.
