Longtime Blinn Staple Remembered

The Blinn College family is celebrating the life and mourning the loss of one its longtime members.

Margie Kovar died Tuesday at the age of 52 after battling cancer. She was Blinn College's public information officer, and had been with the school since 1990.

Thursday at Brenham Memorial Chapel, Kovar will be remembered at a rosary. Then, Friday, the former reporter and Washington County Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year will be honored at a funeral at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Donations can be made to the Blinn College Foundation and the American Cancer Society in Kovar's honor.
