Huntsville's Walls Unit is scheduled to see its second execution in a week.
Barring a stay or a successful appeal, Charles Hood will receive a lethal injection Tuesday night.
The 38-year-old was convicted of the 1989 murders of a Plano couple. After killing the man he was working for and his employer's girlfriend, Hood stole money and a car. He was arrested in his home state of Indiana.
Last week, Karl Chamberlain was the first Texas death row inmate in nine months to be executed, this due to the U-S Supreme Court debating the legality of lethal injections.
Counting Hood, Texas has 12 executions scheduled between now and mid-October, an average of three a month.
