Teen Indicted in Bryan Police Shooting

A Bryan teen was indicted Thursday by a Brazos County grand jury for shooting at police.

Catarino Castillo, 17, is accused of firing at Bryan police on September 2 on Mockingbird Lane.

He was indicted on charges of attempted capital murder of a police officer, aggravated assault against a public servant and evading arrest.

Castillo, who was 16 at the time, was treated at the hospital for gunshot wounds.

At the time of the incident, authorities said the shooting could have been gang related.
