He's wanted in Bryan, and now the Fugitive Task Force and the FBI, are looking for him too.
Saturday, KBTX alerted Bryan Police that Pastor Kris Erskine, who used to lead Shiloh Baptist Church in Bryan, accepted a position at a church in Harlem.
Erskine is wanted on an embezzlement charge, after Bryan police say he stole money from Shiloh Baptist.
A Harlem website says Erskine has been preaching at Bethany Baptist Church there, since June 1st.
On June 5th, Bryan police issued a warrant for Erskine's arrest.
They say he took money meant from the offering plate, and put it into his own account, to the tune of $10,000.
Deacons at Bryan's Shiloh Baptist, say they were not contacted by the Harlem church as references.
They also say in the past, Shiloh Baptist never performed background checks on pastors they hired, including Erskine, but the church says that's something they'll do from now on.
