Aggie Marine Killed in Service Remembered by School

The service of an Aggie Marine to his country will now always be remembered in the Texas town he once called home.

In April, we told you about First Lieutenant Matthew Vandegrift, who was killed during combat in Iraq. Now, the Leander school district will be naming its fifth high school after the 27-year-old, who graduated from Leader High School in 1999.

Vandegrift enlisted in the Marines in 2005 after earning an international business degree from Texas A&M.
