A drug dealer who set up shop near Kemp Elementary in Bryan is now headed to prison. Elbert Wayne Steen, 44, was sentenced to nine years Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.

He was arrested in 2006 after police executed a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of Muckleroy. Inside, authorities found cocaine.

Additional charges on Steen are pending since he was on probation for drug possession at the time of his arrest.
