Normally, the Brazos Valley Bombers wear blue and gold. Saturday night, they'll be wearing green.
With the City of College Station's new green initiative in effect, the local baseball team will don green jerseys. As fans enjoy the action, College Station Utilities will also be providing environmental tips in a fun, but informative fashion.
And those jerseys? They'll be auctioned off during and after the game, with proceeds going to a future environmental project in College Station.
CSU says they're getting plenty of questions about going green.
"Where do I sign up for recycling? How can I save water? How do I save on my energy bill," are just some of the questions Jennifer Nations with CSU said has come her way. "This is a way people can come and support their local baseball team and get good information at the same time."
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The Bombers are hosting the McKinney Marshals.
Among the giveaways are free CFL light bulbs for the first 500 fans.
