A shooting in Washington County Monday has raised more questions than answers.

Jose Palacios, 43, said he was working at a ranch when a white mini-van drove up. He said the driver threatened him, then the passenger opened fire, hitting him in the arm. Palacios drove himself to St. Joseph Hospital in Navasota before reporting the shooting to authorities.

Investigators are still trying to figure out a motive behind the shooting and why no blood was found at the scene.
