The city of Bryan is going forward with its lawsuit against the city of College Station over their jointly-owned landfill operations.
Following a lengthy, closed-door meeting to discuss the litigation, the Bryan city council voted Tuesday night to ratify the filing of the request for an injunction against College Station.
Bryan filed the lawsuit last Tuesday claiming it was being left out of important decisions being made on behalf of the Brazos Valley Solid Waste Management Agency (BVSWMA).
Earlier Tuesday, Bryan Mayor Mark Conlee told News 3 the two cities had made good progress in their discussions. College Station Mayor Ben White said he was "optimistic" and thought a court battle could be avoided.
