The College Station city council took a major step Thursday in preparation for bond election. The council approved a seven-year borrowing option as opposed to a five-year plan.
If the bond proposals are approved by voters, the city would have $84 million to spend where needed. Among the top priorities: a new fire station at Tarrow and University, road and park improvements, and expansion of the library.
A sample ballot will be presented to the council August 18 for its approval.
