Grimes County Sheriff Hires Former Hearne Police Chief

It didn't take long for a former Brazos Valley police chief to resume his career in law enforcement.

Less than three weeks after being forced out in Hearne, Bob Parsley is once again wearing a badge. But this one says Grimes County Sheriff's Office.

Parsley was hired Monday to serve as a Grimes County school resource officer, working primarily in Iola and Richards.

Despite public support for Parsley, the Hearne city council asked for his resignation, which he tendered June 27.
