It may be a dying art, but several ladies in the Brazos Valley are doing everything they can to keep it alive.

The Brazos Bluebonnet Quilt Guild has displayed its artwork at the Arts Council of Brazos Valley gallery this month. The guild is a non-profit organization dedicated to help those in need and to share with the community its love for quilts.

About 57 pieces are in the gallery, including quilts and wearable pieces of art, like coats and vests.

45 artists contributed to the display which can be seen until July 31.

You can reach the Arts Council of Brazos Valley at 696-2787.
