College Station's school district wants your input as they look to rework attendance zones. The first of two public hearings is Tuesday night at 5:30 at A&M Consolidated High School's auditorium.
Starting with the 2009-2010 school year, CSISD will add Creek View Elementary near Graham Road as its seventh elementary school. As a result, new attendance zones for the elementary schools are being proposed. This would put about 600 students in each of the seven schools for the '09-'10 school year.
Slight changes are also being proposed to the attendance zones for the two intermediate and two middle schools as a result.

Since March, a 29-member panel of community members and district staff have been meeting to craft the best possible plan for the new zones, one that would best suit the growth of each school as the city grows, and one that would best meet the demographics of College Station.
A second public hearing will take place August 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Recreation Center.
