As Tropical Storm Edouard makes its way to Texas, the state's elite search and rescue team has been activated.
Texas Task Force 1, fresh off its rescue missions during Hurricane Dolly in South Texas, received word from the governor's office that they will be brought back together for Edouard's arrival, which forecasters currently predict will be Tuesday afternoon in the Houston area.
A conference call with state leaders Monday morning will determine the extent of the task force's mission in the coming days.
Texas Task Force 1 is based in College Station, but calls upon resources and personnel from across the state in cases of emergency.
