For the 13th year in a row, the Blues Capital of Texas is ready to showcase its love of the blues.

The Navasota Blues Fest gets underway Friday. Organizers have once again assembled an impressive collection of talent including Randy Pavlock and 24/7, Blind Orange and the Seeing Eye Band and Tubie and the Touchstones. This year's festival is dedicated to the memory of local blues legend Mance Lipscomb.

All events take place at the Grimes County Expo Center. The Blues Fest runs from 5 p.m. to midnight Friday and 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday.
