Madison County will have to fork over $25,000 to repair a wooden bridge destroyed in a July fire.
Officials first suspected arson, but investigators believe a surveillance camera run off of a car battery ignited the blaze. The county placed the camera near the bridge to catch people dumping trash.
The bridge is located near Normangee, in the northwest portion of Madison County. Only a few residents live in the area, and they are using an alternate route until the bridge is fixed.
