An injured toddler and her family got a true Aggie welcome home Saturday evening.
Alexis Verzal, and her parents were the guests of honor at the Coach G. Charity Bash at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.
One-year-old Alexis, suffered what authorities call non-accidental head trauma at a local daycare back in April.
Since then, the Verzals moved to Nebraska for Alexis' treatment. Saturday night they couldn't be more happy to be back in Aggieland.
"To think something like this happened four months ago and for Coach G. And his wife to plan this and this turnout we're overwhelmed," Alexis' Father Brandon Verzal said. "I can't say thank you enough to everyone."
Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood made special appearances at the event.
Donations from the charity bash will go towards Alexis' medical bills.
