Residents in Dime Box are being ordered to boil their water before consuming it.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality said a pump line failure in the city's water system caused a service disruption. They say the boil order is a standard precaution when this happens.
Residents should boil all water before using it for drinking, cooking or making ice. Water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil for at least two minutes. Another option is use only bottled water.
Officials will notify residents when it's safe to resume normal water usage.
