On August 25th, Leon High School students will return to class, in Jewett.

However, their former Principal, David Jones, won't be there. Jones remains on administrative leave stemming from an alleged incident in February.

A student says Jones grabbed and bruised his shoulder. He was arrested and charged with assault, in April.

Administrators have moved the former junior high principal to the high school, and hired a new junior high principal.

Jones' trial is expected to begin in late September.

The district is awaiting the verdict before determining Jones' future.

However, Superintendent Jay Winn says if Jones returns, its likely he will be given other administrative duties.
