Local Bike Cops No Match for Runaway Truck

How many bicycle cops does it take to stop a runaway truck? The answer is four.

Two University Police officers on bikes say they saw Christopher Brown doing what's called a "brake stand" near Hurricane Harry's. Brown was spinning his rear tires until they smoked.

Brown then reportedly drove away out of the parking lot, even though the bike cops signaled him to stop. The truck proceeded through the Northgate area with bikes behind. Two more officers on bikes joined in the chase.

Brown and his faster mode of transportation might just have gotten away, except he turned onto a street blocked by road construction.

He now faces a charge of evading arrest.
