Texas Task Force 1 is headed home after battling flood waters in Wichita Falls.

The urban search and rescue team was dispatched because heavy rains in North Texas trapped some residents in their homes, dumping nearly 10 inches of rain in that area.

In all, the task force deployed four water strike teams, three helicopter specialists, and four support units.

Subsiding waters let the first responders head home first thing Wednesday morning.
