An early morning accident in Leon County leaves a Jewett man dead.

It happened around 9am Thursday on highway 79 just south of Buffalo.
Authorities say a Saturn SUV crossed over the center lane into oncoming traffic, hitting an 18-wheeler head on.

The driver of the SUV, Timothy Light was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pedro Castro, the driver of the big rig, suffered non life threatening injuries and refused medical treatment.

Centerville highway patrol was first on the scene.
