A sentencing date is set for a Leon County man who caused permanent brain damage to his 15-month old stepson.

Jewett resident Jeremy Nash was convicted of injury to a child in June. A September 12 hearing has been set to determine his punishment.

Authorities say Nash injured the child back in April, 2007 at the family's home. A special investigator with the Ft. Worth-based Shaken Baby Alliance helped the Leon County District Attorney's Office prosecute the case.
