The suspect whose arrest led to the suspension of a Bryan Police Officer, has been indicted by a Brazos County Grand Jury.
Jonathon D'Wayne Moore, 23, of Bryan, is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
According to court documents, Moore was having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl.
Police reports say on June 24th Moore slapped the girl after discovering she was cheating on him. The girl reportedly called police and Moore was arrested.
According to court documents Sergeant Steve French was involved in this investigation. French was removed from duty August 6th for three violations of department regulations -- use of force, conduct unbecoming and truthfulness.
French has the option to appeal the suspension, which would take the matter to arbitration.
