Just hours after Barack Obama's V-P pick, one of the finalist's, Chet Edwards weighed in on that decision.

For a short while it looked like Obama might choose Congressman Chet Edwards as his running mate.... but one by one potential v-p's were told they were off the list.
Then late last night a decision was made, and Obama passed on Edwards.

Edwards goes on to say "I think Sen. Biden is an excellent pick and is a wise decision. He is the expert in Washington on foriegn affairs, and since the invasion on Georgia, foriegn affairs have been put back on the front burner. So he'll be a strong candidate. He can relate to average working families and that 's important for Sen. Obama."

Congressman Edwards graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B-A in Economics from A&M in 1974 says he loves his current job and wants to stay in Waco.
