It's been a busy couple of days for emergency management and planning crews helping Gustav evacuees find shelter in Bryan-College Station.
Volunteers and staff at Veteran's Park have processed more than 200 evacuees from the Texas Coast and Louisiana.
But while there has been a steady flow of people coming in looking for shelter, emergency management officials said they're not as crowded as they were with Hurricane Katrina or Rita.
"We were ready for the quantity we had last year, and last time--so we were prepared for that. But it just doesn't have the numbers this year," Emergency Management Coordinator Curtis Schoessow said.
Medical services are also available on site for anyone coming into the area in need medical care.
Veteran's Park closed at 6 p.m. Monday, any evacuees coming into the area are now asked to call 2-1-1 for shelter assignments.
