A body found in the search for a missing Madison County man has yet to be identified. The Madison County Sheriff's Department says it could be Friday, when they find out if it's the body of Gene Coleman.
Coleman was last seen August 8th, and foul play is suspected.
Family members of Coleman organized the Saturday search including search teams from Bryan and Travis County.
The body was found in a pond about a quarter-mile from where Coleman's car was found on Dawkins Road.
Both the Madison County Sheriff's Department and Texas EquuSearch tell News Three they did not search that area.
The body along with X-rays of Coleman have been sent to the medical examiner's office in Conroe. A sheriff's official says the body was too badly decomposed to identify on sight.
