The majority of students in Navasota are now subject to random drug testing.
The policy applies to those in grades 6 through 12 who participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, choir, band, cheerleading, student government and others.
Also, all students who drive to school and park on campus are subject to testing.
An informational meeting for district parents will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the junior high cafeteria. Student meetings will also be held throughout the day.
Representatives from the drug testing company will be there to answer questions about how testing is done and what happens if there is a positive test.
