Did Pit Bull Attack Play a Role in North Zulch Man's Death?

A North Zulch man attacked this weekend by a pit bull has died, but authorities still don't know if the attack had anything to do with it.

An autopsy has been ordered on 31-year-old Lester Heath Jr, who died Thursday morning.

Sunday, he was walking near his home when authorities say a pit bull got loose from a chain and attacked Heath. He was taken to the hospital and received stitches in one leg, but was released that day.

Charges were not initially pressed following the attack.

Madison County authorities won't speculate as to whether the attack had anything to do with Heath's death.
