He was arrested on a slew of charges. Then police say Anthony Hawkins kicked out the window of the patrol car.
The 29-year-old was pulled over on George Bush drive Saturday.
University Police say that was after he was seen speeding out of a Texas A&M parking lot.
Hawkins said he was just on campus to turn around. Police say he was breaking into a vehicle.
Along with an open bottle of rum, police say they found a loaded revolver.
Because Hawkins has already been convicted for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, he wasn't supposed to have a gun.
Police say Hawkins began yelling obscenities from the police cruiser and then kicked out the window.
He rode to jail in leg restraints, and was given an over $22,000 bond.
