The city of Bryan's decision to take over operations at its Municipal Golf Course isn't sitting well with the course's current management.

Golf Solutions claims the move constitutes a breach of contract since it still has a year left on its contract with the city.

The Bryan city council votes Tuesday on spending $670,000 on new carts and turf for the golf course.

In a statement released Monday, Golf Solutions attorney Gaines West stated, "He (Golf Solutions owner Trey Stiles) is baffled by the city's insistence on spending taxpayer money to purchase additional equipment when the equipment necessary to serve the golf course is already in place."

As of Monday, no lawsuit has been filed. But West states Stiles has authorized him to,"...pursue his available legal remedies, if necessary, against the city of Bryan."
