Texas A&M University is stepping up and assisting with possible hurricane evacuations.

Transportation services will send five buses to the Texas A&M Corpus Christi campus Wednesday to evacuate 175 students, if necessary.

That means, there will be fewer buses running here. A&M officials say students should be aware there will be fewer buses on several routes including routes 1, 3, 4 and 36.

Students are encouraged to go to class early or use alternative transportation Wednesday through Thursday, and possibly Friday.
