A line has been drawn in the sand trap following a pair of Tuesday votes by the Bryan city council.

The council reaffirmed its intention to take over operations at the Municipal Golf Course by denying funding for the course's current management company, Golf Solutions.

The council did so by approving this year's $378 million budget which doesn't include a payment to Golf Solutions. City leaders also approved spending more than $670,000 for new golf carts and turf for the golf course.

In a statement released Monday, Golf Solutions accused the city of breach of contract by reneging on its agreement that still has one year remaining.
