The newly constructed SH 6 northbound exit ramp to Rock Prairie will open to traffic and the existing exit ramp will be closed and permanently removed. The newly constructed SH 6 northbound entrance ramp north of Rock Prairie will open to traffic and the existing exit ramp will be closed and permanently removed.
Additionally, temporary signals will be operational at the Rock Prairie/Southbound Frontage Road intersection along with the closure of the left lane on the frontage road.
The resulting lane configuration for the southbound frontage road will be two lanes with the right lane being a right turn only. The left lane will be a thru and left turn lane. This configuration will be in place until the newly constructed frontage road is opened.
The ramp openings and lane closure are part of the $8.1 million SH 6 Ramps Relocation Project contracted to Knife River.
