By the Numbers: Who's Without Power as of Monday

According to numbers provided by Mid South Synergy and Entergy, here are customers of those companies that are without power as of Sunday night:

Entergy (according to entergy-texas.com):
- Montgomery County: 129,495
- Walker County: 15,204
- Grimes County: 7,607
- Madison County: 4,218
- Robertson County: 3,475
- Burleson County: 1,907
- Leon County: 555
- Milam County: 284
- Washington County: 110
- Brazos County: 39

In all, nearly 400,000 Entergy customers are out of power in Southeast Texas.

Mid South (estimates according to a company spokesperson):
- Montgomery County - 6,000
- Walker County - 1,500
- Grimes County - 400
- Madison County - 300-400

Mid South has made progress in the aftermath of the storm, but Montgomery County restoration could take more time due to Entergy system problems that are affecting Mid South.

As a sidenote, power companies designate a "customer" as a business or a household. The number of individuals without power is likely much greater. For example, a family of four may be out of power, but since they live in one home, they count as one customer.
