Generators in High Demand, Short Supply

For those thinking about powering back up by renting a generator, you may have to search long and hard to find one.

We talked to three rental companies in Bryan-College Station and none had units to rent. One did have generators for purchase for around $2,000.

And it doesn't get much better out of town. Due to the tremendous demand for power on the coast, Dallas, Austin and most of San Antonio have been cleaned out of generators.
