A Bryan man was sentenced Friday to a year in county jail and a $4,000 fine after pleading guilty to providing booze to an underage gathering that culminated with the deaths of three teens.
Under the plea agreement, Jimmy Noey, Jr. received the maximum punishment allowed by law for a Class A misdemeanor.
Noey purchased a keg of beer for a Sweet 16 party in Bryan last month. After leaving that party, Alex Dicky, and brothers Gus and Dillon Benevides were killed when their car hit a tree.
The driver, Dillon Benevides, 16, was later found to have a blood alcohol level of .12. Alex Dicky, 15, was also legally drunk at .08.
A second suspect, Dicky's brother Wayne Dicky Junior, is also charged with making alcohol available to a minor.
