A BTU lineman is recovering Wednesday night after the utility pole he was working on snapped and plummeted to the ground-- taking him with it.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Broadmoor and Texas Avenue.

Officials with BTU say the lineman was installing wires when the pole broke.

The injured lineman was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center for a separated shoulder and has since been released.

No other injuries have been reported.
