For the fourth consecutive year, the tax rate in College Station will remain the same.

The city council approved the new budget Thursday night which keeps the tax rate at $.439 per $100 of assessed value.

However, the rate is expected to generate 10.5 percent more revenue due to increased property values and new properties that have been added to the tax role.

The overall operating budget for the city is more than $242 million.
