Authorities in Grimes County say they now have a positive identification on some human remains found near Shiro in April.

The Sheriff's Office was able to make a match through DNA.

However, the name of the individual is not being released at this time while they try to notify the family of the victim.

Authorities do not suspect foul play, and believe rather the victim hanged himself in the woods twelve years ago.
