Before the game even started Saturday, some Aggie students were working hard to raise money.

Students shouted "Howdy! Donate to the Ike relief fund," as loud as they could near West Campus Saturday morning.

The yelling got lots of fans' attention as they made the trek into Kyle field.

The student government association decided to collect money for Ike victims, after Houston native and Texas A&M sophomore, Lucas Frank, approached the group.

"I felt really bad because I wasn't doing anything to help so I felt hopeless- helpless, so I was like 'what can I do?' This is when I came up with this idea," said Frank.

All money raised will go to the Bush-Clinton Coastal Recovery Fund. Students say they raised around $6,200.
