The Brazos Valley Food Bank will be able to re-stock its shelves thanks to HEB's Help End Hunger Campaign.
HEB presented the food bank with a $3,000 check Thursday thanks to its customers support.
Tear-off coupons were available at checkout stands where shoppers could add $1, $3, or $5 to their grocery bill.
Texas customers raised a combined $300,000 this year for 16 state food banks, the most raised in the program's history.
The program supports 26 food banks throughout Texas and Mexico, which in turn serve more than 5,000 organizations.
In 2007, HEB donated more than 26.3 million pounds of products, valued at $35 million.
