FEMA is making sure Walker County residents are getting the help they need during the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) has been set up in Huntsville at 445 Highway 75 North, in a building normally used as a storm shelter.

The DRC is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.

FEMA, the Red Cross, the Army Corps of Engineers, and other service organizations are on staff to help.

We're told you don't need an appointment, just show up for assistance.
