Texas Congressman Kevin Brady will make a stop in College Station Thursday.
The District 8 Representative is expected to talk about the economy plus thank Texas Task Force 1 for its efforts during Hurricane Ike.
The congressman will be the featured speaker at the College Station Morning Rotary Club meeting, but Tuesday News 3 talked with him over the phone about several issues, including the economy.
"America's economy is amazingly resilient," Brady said. "The problem we've got is that it's now spread to a global financial crisis which makes it harder for us to pull out and we still don't have the credit markets working which is really sort of the engine oil in our economy. I do think the federal reserve board's move today to buy those commercial loans, I think that's going to be very helpful but we still got some challenges ahead of us."
